A spacious park facility in the middle of the village of Villabassa extending over 5 hectares: the Kurpark – nomen est omen. An inviting, charming lake, a lake stage for varied cultural events, a comfortable audience stage, floodlit tennis courts and a covered bowling lane are some examples of this varied infrastructure. There is a special pavilion for seniors, where they can meet up and discuss everyday life. Walkers and joggers can choose from varied baths, and relaxation areas invite you to rest.
The Kurpark is a true playing paradise for children. In addition to the large playground with swings, slides and sand pits with diggers, there is an "Adventure Land" for bigger children. This is a paradise for children from 12 upwards. The Adventure Land features a tree house, a gigantic liana for swinging, and a gorilla slide. On the balance tree they can test their skills, and a climbing tree and sliding pole round off the adventure. Those who are tired can have a rest in the hammock.
A water play area with water locks and watergates attracts the children in summer. The Association for Playgrounds and Recreation VKE has awarded Villabassa the "most children-friendly community in South Tyrol" in 2004.
The Kurpark is also a jewel for adults. At the botanic educational path you can learn a lot about flora and fauna during a comfortable walk through the park. And since wellness has become more and more important in this often hectic world over the past years, a Kneipp facility has also been implemented. Reducing stress, switching off, forgetting the problems of everyday life, the balance of humans, nature and health – all these things have become more important.
And in order to round off your wellbeing during your holiday, the menus in the restaurants of Villabassa also adhere to Kneipp diets. Speaking of gastronomy: since eating under open skies is a very special adventure, the Kurpark offers also a barbeque area. As you see, the Kurpark in Villabassa is also worth a visit!
