If you like climbing and taking tours in the mountains, the Valley of Sesto is a true paradise. For alpinists and mountaineers Sesto offers wonderful mountains with numerous interesting climbing tours to the most beautiful peaks. Insiders say that this mountain scenery is simply fantastic. It is therefore no coincidence, that it was exactly here where the most renowned European mountaineers started their discovery of the Dolomites 200 years ago – today, the most legendary climbing tours carry the names of these pioneers
The imposing wood and glass construction "Dolomit Arena" provides the highlight of the sports facilities in Sesto. With 16.5 metres of height, this is Italy's highest climbing hall. The glazing on both sides provides the sensation of outdoor climbing. Here you'll find demanding climbing sections for all levels of difficulty.

Walking time: 2 ½ hours to the Elferscharte; from here 1 ½ hours to the Sentinellascharte; descent to the Berti Hut 1 hour; sign-post: red-white-red No. 101 and No. 124;
The Alpini path is a well preserved path dating back to World War I showing how clever military paths have been laid out. The section between Elferscharte and Sentinellascharte is very icy, hence crampon, ice pick and rope are required.
