The Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike is a very important event for mountain bikers, which takes place in Alta Pusteria every year.
Only the following paths are open to mountain-bikers in the direction of the Three Peaks:
Auronzo Hut – Lavaredo Hut – Pian di Cengia
Auronzo Hut – Lavaredo Hut – Forcella Lavaredo – Locatelli Hut
"Sesto" mountain-bike tour
The round tour of 35.2 km is demanding and features steep sections. The descents do not feature any technical difficulties, and you get to know the valley of Sesto from all sides.

Sesto – Monte Croce – Prati Croda Rossa
A technically demanding tour of 33.5 km where you'll need to push the bike after the Nemes pasture. A small tract leads through the region of Veneto. After the beautifully located Prati di Croda Rossa meadows you cycle to the valley on a gravel track.

Sesto – Monte Elmo
The long ascent makes this 36.5 km long tour a difficult tour, especially the even steeper section after the Malga Leckfeld requires strength and stamina. You are rewarded by the amazing panoramic view when having a break after the Leckfeldsattel - downhill only after this.

San Candido – Malga S. Silvestro Pastures (ascent from Dobbiaco)
In the proximity of the Kaiserwasser factory at the end of the western village exit of San Candido, you cycle along an asphalted field path (cycling path San Candido – Dobbiaco) to the train station in Dobbiaco. From here take the road through Dobbiaco village in the direction of the S. Silvestro Valley to the Genziana Hut. After an initial slight gradient on the asphalt road, and the easy forest path along the S. Silvestro River, you reach the S. Silvestro Hut.

San Candido - Val Campo di Dentro – Tre Scarperi Hut
From San Candido via a cycling path (San Candido – Sesto) to the fork "Heilquellen Wildbad" (thermal springs), and on to the sign-post "Rifugio Tre Scarperi". The asphalt road with medium gradient leads to a car park. After the gate you cycle for only a few kilometres until you see the Tre Scarperi Hut through the forest opening of the Val Campo di Dentro Valley.

San Candido - Forest path to Dobbiaco Lake
From the Erschbaum sports centre to the left on a forest path and past the Kaiserwasser Company in the direction of Dobbiaco. The easily accessible path leads past the source of the Drava River, past the shooting range, and near Pension Emma in Dobbiaco it leads onto the main road to Cortina. Cross the road at Hotel Santer and continue to Dobbiaco Lake via the cycling path Dobbiaco – Cortina.

San Candido – Malga Nemes Pastures
To the Monte di Mezzo Fortress; above the fortress on a forest path (sign-post for Malga Nemes) past the Pendi Monte Elmo Hut (1,610 m) and up to "Negerdorf". From here a slight ascent with two short descents to a crossroad. Here you can either stop the tour and turn right to Moso, or turn left and continue the steep path up to the Klammbachalm Hut (1,944 m). From here straight on through alpine pastures and to Malga Nemes (1,950 m9.

Dobbiaco - Candelle – Corno di Fana Dobbiaco – Cornetto di Confine – Malga S. Silvestro Pasture - Dobbiaco
This strenuous tour (47.6 km) near the border mostly leads along old military roads. Good stamina is required for this tour. From Dobbiaco in the direction of Candelle and further on to the Corno di Fana Mountain in Dobbiaco. From here the tour leads to Cornetto di Confine and then downhill past the Malga S. Silvestro Pasture and back to Dobbiaco.

Dobbiaco – Val di Landro Valley – Prato Piazza – Braies - Dobbiaco
This 45 km long tour is rather easy: It leads through the Val di Landro Valley on easy, constant gradients. At the Prato Piazza pasture you will be rewarded by a splendid panoramic view. The route leads from Dobbiaco to the Val di Landro Valley via the old railway line in the direction of Cortina. In Carbonin ascent to Prato Piazza; then downhill on asphalt roads to Braies, Villabassa and Dobbiaco.

Villabassa – Malga S. Silvestro pastures - Villabassa
Except for a few sections, this is an easy 44.7 km long tour. The section to San Candido is identical to the racing route of the Dolomiti Superbike. Villabassa – S. Magdalene's Church in Moso – on the right upwards to the small power utility – stay left on the gravel path - km 9.2 forest path – Malga S. Silvestro pastures – military road to San Candido - Versciaco – return along the Drava-Baranci lifts - Dobbiaco train station – Game Park - Villabassa

Alta Pusteria - Lienz
This route features a well sign-posted cycling path and is suitable for all types of bicycles. The point of departure in Alta Pusteria lies about 500 metres above the destination Lienz, hence the approx. 45 km can be cycled without any major effort. The tour is recommended for families with children and beginners. Return to the Alta Pusteria (San Candido, Dobbiaco or Villabassa) comfortably by train with a wagon reserved for bicycles.

The cycling tour leads along asphalt roads and well prepared gravel paths via meadows and through forests to the left of the main road to Brunico. During this very varied cycling tour you can discover the beautiful nature of the Alta Pusteria.

Route: Alta Pusteria – Monguelfo - Valdaora di Sopra - Valdaora di Mezzo - Valdaora di Sotto - Brunico. Do not be deceived by the difference in altitude of only 400 m; some stretches are rather demanding.
