Dolomites Climbing Paradise

On the traces of famous alpinists: in the area of the Three Peaks and the Tre Scarperi Peak you can climb the most beautiful Dolomite classics – many impressive routes for all demands. Choose from many mountain tours in the Dolomites or take the opportunity to train in one of the climbing or abseiling gardens – here you'll find routes of all levels of difficulties and lengths.
 
The 16 metre high climbing tower in Dobbiaco near the Grand Hotel Culture Centre, offers ideal prerequisites for training on one hand, and the possibility of testing your climbing skills on the other.
 
Sure, you do not have to start off at the steep wall. In the Landro climbing garden at the idyllic Landro Lake in the Rienza Valley beginners can train strength and stamina. The ideal exercise area only one minute from the car park.

Rienza Valley Climbing Garden

The Rienza Valley climbing garden can be reached from Dobbiaco via the Val di Landro Valley in the direction of Cortina. A car park is located before Landro Lake on the left side of the road. From here you take the hiking path to the Locatelli Hut through the Rienza Valley. After 45 min. you reach the entry to the climbing garden. The lower area features many easy and well secured routes for beginners. The upper area features routes of medium and high levels of difficulty: one tour to 5c, six tours 6a – 6c, eight tours 7a – 7c, four tours above 8a.
 
Ponticello Climbing Garden
Access: from the first turn in the road to Prato Piazza within one minute
Routes: approx. 25 one rope-length routes
Level of difficulty: 3 to 7b
Characteristics: Easily accessible, very well secured climbing garden; mostly vertical to overlapping hiking along brackets and holes; ideal for families with children.
 
Landro Climbing Garden
Access: from Prato Piazza approx 20 minutes on alpine path no. 3 until you see the climbing walls to your right. Steeply uphill for about 10 minutes to the climbing garden.
Routes: approx. 35 tours, 7 of which are routes with up to 4 rope-lengths
Level of difficulty: from 3b to 7a
Characteristics: This climbing garden is unique from a landscape point of view; the routes are secured. You climb on ground with a lot of holes, very rough, and where the rock is not secure everywhere, wearing a helmet is recommended.
 
Kirchler Climbing Garden
Access: From the third turn on the road to Prato Piazza hike up along the left border of the gravel until reaching alpine path no. 3 to the Kirchler Ridge. Follow this path to the first routes for approx. 1 hour.
Routes: approx. 35 tours, 8 of which are routes with up to 7 rope-lengths
Level of difficulty: from 6a to 7c
Characteristics: Due to the access alone, you could consider the Kirchler tours more as alpine sports climbing routes than climbing garden routes. The rock consists of compact limestone. The tours are secured. Alpine experience and a spirit of adventure are still necessary. All routes with several rope-lengths can be abseiled with a 60m rope.


The climbing hall at Sesto is the highest indoor climbing hall from Italy.

The climbing hall in Sesto is not only a challenge for climbing specialists, but also a breath-taking experience for viewers. Italy's highest climbing hall (16.5 m) provides an alternative for adults and young mountaineers in all weather conditions. The climbing hall features approx. 45 routes from 3° to 8b+ on 500m², the routes are changed regularily. The hall further features a spacious boulder room. Rental equipment and climbing courses are offerd.

Braies Lake Climbing Garden
The climbing garden is located east of the lake: Walking around the lake you get to a small wooden gate on the left shore, after approx. 30 min. you get to the climbing garden. The climbing garden features approx. 15 tours with levels of difficulty from 2 to 7b+. The lower wall is ideal for beginners, while the upper area requires some experience: in order to reach the routes you have to climb an overlapping rope-length first. Once you reach the flat spot, you can choose from three exciting tours steep up a flat wall. The routes are very well secured.
