The cultural guide Culturonda® Dolomythos has appeared: Twelve routes to discover culture and the way of life in the Dolomites, now a UNESCO world natural heritage property.
Culturonda® Dolomythos provides insight into the mountains, the people who inhabit them, their history and stories. The project embraces the South Tyrolean area of the Dolomites both geographically and thematically, bundling up twelve major topics. Culturonda® Dolomythos has singled out three interesting aspects of each of the twelve topics for special emphasis.
A beautyful timelaps Movie from a thunderstorm at the Three Peaks (Drei Zinnen/Tre Cime) in the Alta Pusteria holiday area in the Dolomites. Many thanks to Florian Gradwohl.
A considerable number of South Tyrolean mountain guides have joined forces to form Alpine schools in order to broaden the range of activities on offer. In addition to availing oneself of their expert local knowledge and skills in negotiating secured climbing routes and high mountain trails, these mountaineering experts can also be booked for trekking adventures lasting several days. Certain Alpine schools with their headquarters in the Dolomites accompany holidaymakers on hikes deep into the terrain of the “Pale Mountains” in daily stages, overnighting in refuges. Of course the adventure can also include a summit assault or two.
